What is Share Healthcare?
Share Healthcare is not health insurance. They are a non-profit that claims to be ACA-exempt medical cost-sharing ministry using the latest online technology to provide an enhanced user experience along with convenient and affordable access to the healthcare you need.
Share Healthcare uses a secure online sharing network that is the first of its kind for direct member-to-member medical cost-sharing. With this technology, they’re proud to offer a twenty-first-century solution to the problem of rising healthcare costs and how to share them among a group of like-minded people. Share Healthcare is the only fully compliant online medical cost-sharing ministry, by providing each member an individualized, FDIC-insured bank account where their monthly contributions are held until being shared to pay fellow members’ medical expenses.
Share Healthcare’s program is based upon Christian values and biblical truths which teach us to maintain healthy and fit lifestyles, share the weight of others’ burdens, and to love our neighbors. It’s the belief of Share Healthcare that necessary medical treatments should be affordable and accessible to all who agree to their Christian principles and Statement of Beliefs.
Share Healthcare invites all who agree to our biblical principles and Statement of Beliefs to join them in the Christian tradition of healthcare sharing.
What Makes Share Healthcare Different?
Share Healthcare is committed to complete financial transparency. A first in healthcare sharing, their members’ individualized, FDIC-insured bank accounts allow for funds to be distributed directly between members for true real-time member-to-member cost-sharing. Share Healthcare members’ dashboard provides up-to-date status updates about your transactions, so you are always in the loop when it comes to your health.
Each month, voluntary contributions from Share Healthcare members are matched with medical expenses submitted by fellow members via their secure online portal. Monthly contributions go into an FDIC-insured individualized bank account and are then distributed to help others in need to receive the healthcare that is right for them.
At Share Healthcare, we believe you should have choice when it comes to your healthcare. That’s why we offer three sharing levels of our easy-to-understand, comprehensive medical cost sharing program. We allow you to choose the sharing level that is the best fit for you and also allow you choose between a Per Event Personal Expense and an Annual Unshared Amount with our Caring sharing level.
An intriguing aspect of the Share Healthcare program is that there is no annual or lifetime sharing limit for either a particular medical event or for the membership as a whole. This is very beneficial should a member incur a medical event that leads to a high volume and high dollar amount of medical expenses.

Upon approval of their Sharing Member Information Sheet, members who join Share Healthcare will create a FDIC-insured bank account into which their monthly share amount will be deposited. Monthly share amounts can be set up for auto-pay, so you don’t need to worry about remembering to send money each month. Your monthly share amounts will remain in your individualized FDIC account until it is used to pay the medical expenses of fellow Share Healthcare members.
