Phoenix HealthShare entered the health sharing community in 2026 and now serves more than 8,000 members. This faith-based community welcomes people of all religious backgrounds, allowing members to practice their faith according to their own beliefs. Its membership offers flexible sharing levels, along with a Care Coordination Team that helps members manage their healthcare. This focus on healthcare guidance and cost savings is a notable part of its approach to health sharing.
Phoenix HealthShare offers a simplified health sharing program called Phoenix Ember, with three Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA) options: $1,250, $2,500, and $5,000 per need request. Your chosen IUA is the amount you are responsible for paying before medical expenses can be shared with the community.
Members are responsible for up to three IUAs within a rolling 12-month period. After satisfying three IUAs, any additional eligible medical needs exceeding $500 may qualify for sharing without another IUA during that period.
Monthly contributions are based on the primary member’s age, household size, and selected IUA. A higher IUA generally means a lower monthly contribution.
You can customize your Phoenix Ember membership with two optional add-ons. Monthly costs for these add-ons vary based on household size.
Both add-ons are purchased separately from the base Phoenix Ember membership.
Phoenix HealthShare offers Care Coordination to help members navigate healthcare options and find ways to reduce medical expenses. Members are encouraged to contact the team before scheduling appointments or arranging medical services. The team helps with understanding treatment options, finding quality providers, comparing facilities and pricing, negotiating medical costs, and coordinating surgeries, imaging, diagnostic procedures, and complex care needs.
Members who use Care Coordination and follow the team’s care arrangements may qualify for a reduction in the Initial Unshareable Amount (IUA):
Care Coordination is optional, and members are not restricted to a specific provider network. Those who choose to use the service can receive guidance throughout the entire healthcare process.
Members submit medical bills, receipts, and any requested documentation to Phoenix HealthShare as soon as possible after receiving care. Additional information, such as itemized bills or medical records, may be needed to review a sharing request.
To help prevent delays in the review process, Phoenix HealthShare requires all necessary documentation to be submitted within eight months of the date of service.
